Anabella María García Robles

CARP General Coordinator for the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) Regional Unit

Anabella Garcia is the general coordinator for the CARP LAC Regional Unit at CSUCA, based in Guatemala City. She is responsible for daily management of CARP in this region. Her role includes regular communication with the Program Coordination Unit at the University of Arizona and CSUCA-partnered universities. Anabella also conducts monitoring, regular evaluation, and technical supervision of the researchers to whom the awards are granted.  

Anabella has more than 19 years of work experience in public administration, specifically in the university academic-administrative area. She worked at the University of San Carlos in Guatemala, and she is currently working as a Project Coordinator for the General Secretariat of CSUCA. Additionally, she has provided various advice and consultancies for the General Secretariat of the Central American Integration System (SICA) and the Ibero-American Campus. Most recently, she was involved in the development and implementation of a joint project titled “Supplement to the Higher Education Degree.” This project was implemented by the Ibero-American General Secretariat and CSUCA. 

Anabella has degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration. She also holds a master´s degree in Human Resources and another master´s degree in Public Image Consulting and Strategic Media Planning. She completed these studies at the Galileo University of Guatemala. She also has a specialization in Leadership and Coaching.
